Attorney network — applications open

Carry the caseload
of a firm.
Keep your own shingle.

AVOWAL routes limited-scope matters to independent, licensed attorneys — and hands each one ELARIA, an AI legal operations agent that runs intake, drafting, citation verification, and deadlines. You stay independent. You make the judgment calls. The operations run themselves.

“I prepare the matter, verify every cite, and track every deadline. I surface only the decisions that need a lawyer. You practice law — I handle the rest.”

The economics of limited-scope, finally solved.

Limited-scope representation has always been legal. Almost no one offers it, because the operations never penciled out at flat-fee prices. AVOWAL fixes the operations layer — so the work that was never worth your time becomes a practice you can actually run.

/ 01

More matters, less overhead

ELARIA absorbs the mechanical ~90% of a matter — intake, assembly, citation checks, deadline tracking. One attorney can responsibly carry far more limited-scope matters than a conventional practice allows, without hiring a back office.

/ 02

You stay independent

AVOWAL does not employ you and does not own your practice. You remain a licensed, independent attorney. You confirm scope and sign the engagement directly with the client. AVOWAL is the operations layer between you and the matter — nothing more.

/ 03

Judgment, not data entry

Your time goes to the parts only a lawyer can do: strategy, the call, the signature, the appearance. Every draft arrives cite-checked. Every deadline is already tracked. You review exceptions, not a paperwork firehose.

Two ways in. One operating model.

Whether you have twenty years of practice or you're about to be sworn in, AVOWAL is the same bet: the next decade of law is AI-operated, attorney-signed. Join it from where you are.

/ Practicing attorneys

Add a flat-fee practice
without adding overhead

You already run a firm or a solo practice. AVOWAL routes you limited-scope matters in the jurisdictions you're admitted to, with ELARIA doing the operational lift. Take the volume of work you've always had to turn away because it didn't pencil out hour-by-hour.

Keep your existing book. Keep your malpractice carrier. Keep your independence. Add a lane that only became viable once the operations got automated.

/ New graduates & soon-to-be-barred

Don't train into the
model that's being automated

The conventional path — years as an associate doing the work AI is about to absorb — is a bet on a profession that's restructuring underneath you. The safer move now is to start native.

On AVOWAL, a newly-admitted attorney can build a real, AI-operated limited-scope practice from day one — the thing every lawyer will eventually have to become — instead of doing the traditional grind first and converting later. Own the wave instead of bracing for it.

From application to your first signed matter.

Apply & qualify

You apply with your bar admission(s), practice areas, and standing. We verify licensure and good standing and confirm the jurisdictions and matter types you can take.

Onboard with ELARIA

A short orientation on the operations layer and the UPL guardrails — what ELARIA executes, what stays your call, and where the line is enforced in software.

Matters route to you

Intake is scoped and quoted before you ever see it. When a matter fits your jurisdiction and practice area, ELARIA hands you a prepared file — not a cold lead.

You judge & sign

You confirm scope, make the calls, and sign the engagement directly with the client. ELARIA keeps the file moving, cite-checked and on-deadline, the whole way through.

Who fits the network.

The bar for the bar is real. ELARIA does the operations; the attorney is the practitioner and the accountable professional. We onboard attorneys who can own that line.

  • Active bar admission — licensed and in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction (or admission pending, for new grads).
  • Comfort with limited-scope — willing to take defined, capped engagements rather than whole-matter retainers.
  • Professional accountability — you sign the work and stand behind it; AVOWAL never holds itself out as counsel.
  • Fluent with the line — clear on UPL boundaries; comfortable that ELARIA executes and the attorney advises.
  • Malpractice coverage — carried or willing to carry appropriate professional liability coverage.
  • Forward-leaning — you'd rather operate the AI-native model than wait to see whether it wins.

Tell us where you're admitted and what you practice. We review every application personally and respond within two business days — whether or not there's an immediate fit.

Submitting an application does not create any contractual, employment, agency, or attorney-client relationship. AVOWAL does not split legal fees and does not direct the professional judgment of any attorney. Specific terms of participation are discussed individually after review. Questions: attorneys@avowal.ai.

Straight answers.

Do I become an AVOWAL employee?

No. You remain an independent, licensed attorney. AVOWAL does not employ attorneys and does not own your practice. You confirm scope and sign engagements directly with clients. AVOWAL is the operations layer between you and the matter.

Is this UPL-safe? Who's accountable for the work?

You are. ELARIA executes the mechanical layer — drafting, citation verification, deadline tracking, assembly — and every substantive legal judgment is yours. The split is structured around each jurisdiction's unauthorized-practice rules and enforced in software, not just stated in policy. AVOWAL never holds itself out as legal counsel.

Does AVOWAL take a cut of my legal fees?

No. AVOWAL does not split legal fees — that's prohibited, and the model is built to stay clear of it. How participation works economically is something we walk through individually once your application is reviewed.

What does ELARIA actually do on my matters?

Intake and triage, document drafting and assembly, citation verification against primary sources, deadline tracking, evidence organization, and filing prep. Every citation is verified before it reaches you. Every filing carries a signed manifest of sources and edit history. You get a prepared file and the decisions that need a lawyer — not a paperwork firehose.

I'm not barred yet. Can I still apply?

Yes — apply and tell us your expected admission. New graduates are a deliberate focus: the point is to build an AI-operated limited-scope practice from the start rather than train into a model that's being automated. No matters route to you until you're admitted and in good standing.

Which states and matter types?

Matter routing is jurisdiction-specific, and the active network is built out state by state. Intake currently covers family / dissolution, contract disputes, small claims, landlord/tenant, employment, estate / probate, and appellate. Apply and we'll confirm fit for where you're admitted.
